The most important provision of this vessel’s functionality is rotating rake (for cutting the grain bed for faster flow). During the undiluted stage, with support of false bottom, malty liquid is separated from spent grains. Sparge ring (with hot water) will rinse off the remaining sugars in grains to increase the fermentability level of sugar in the wort.
